Keurslagerij Noordijk: two shops, one website and online ordering
Mark and Daphny have run their craft butcher’s shop in Sint Gillis Waas since 2005. In 2025 they added Atelier Noordijk in Stekene.
Project description
Everything comes out of their own kitchen: meat, charcuterie, ready meals, salads and soup. Two shops means two addresses and different pickup times. We built a website with an ordering system that shows both shops side by side, takes orders outside the rush and answers the questions that would otherwise come in by phone.
The brief
Customers had to be able to order without calling, and choose which shop to pick up from. Questions about opening hours, holiday closures and allergens had to be answered on the site, so the time behind the counter goes to the customers in the shop. And the site had to show why you buy your meat from a craft butcher.
An ordering system, pickup per shop and provenance as the selling point
The site got a webshop with a shopping basket for packages, such as the barbecue package and the Brasvarken package, and an order form for everyday counter products. Customers choose the day, the time and the shop where they pick up: Sint Gillis Waas or Stekene. The order comes in at a moment that suits the shop, not in the middle of the rush.
What people ask most sits up front. At the top of the homepage there is a button with a notice about holiday closures or public holidays. The opening hours and the allergens are in the menu, and the shop in Stekene has its own page.
A craft butcher doesn’t beat the supermarket on price, but on provenance. So the site spells it out: Brasvarken pork from Nevele, chicken with the one star Beter Leven label and Belgian Blue beef from nearby. The name of the breed and why it was chosen, no vague promises.

The result
Keurslagerij Noordijk has one site that serves two shops, takes orders outside the rush, answers the most common questions and puts its job vacancies in the spotlight at the same time. That way, what would otherwise happen on the phone now runs through the site.
